How We Started
DCC — Dogs, Cats & Companions — was born from a bold idea: India's pets deserve healthcare that matches human-hospital standards. On 23 February 2021, that idea became reality when our flagship 45,000 sq ft facility opened its doors in Sector 23A, Gurugram.
The hospital is promoted by A'alda Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based company with deep roots in Japan's advanced veterinary industry. A'alda's founding vision — "Pet to Partner: From Member of Family to Member of Society" — is at the heart of everything DCC does.
Led by Dr. Vinod Sharma, one of India's most experienced veterinarians with nearly three decades of practice, DCC is the country's first multi-speciality animal hospital purpose-built to function at par with a human hospital — complete with ICU, operation theatres, in-house diagnostics, boarding, spa, and telehealth.

Masamichi Okuda
Founder & CEO — A'alda Pte. Ltd.Keio University management graduate. When he was a student, he was impressed by the impact animals have on people through his own experience of being saved by his beloved dog. He also felt that there were many issues in the pet industry and that many animals were not happy, so he joined PECO Inc., a venture company challenging the pet industry.
After being involved in the video media business and the development of pet-oriented products, he served as the representative of PECO and its overseas subsidiaries. As a person who lives with 10 animals himself, he has faced global issues in the pet market first-hand.
Founded A'alda Pte. Ltd. in Singapore in April 2019 with a vision of "Pet to Partner" — elevating pets from family members to members of society. Drives the global expansion of DCC across India and Japan.
Dr. Vinod Sharma
Director & Head of Veterinary ServicesDr. Vinod Sharma, a prominent veterinarian in India, boasting nearly three decades of experience. Currently at the helm of the veterinary team at DCC, heading Veterinary Services. I hold certifications from RSPCA, London, and received my clinical training at Vety College in Zurich, Switzerland. My professional journey has taken me across the globe, collaborating with veterinarians in the USA, UK, Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands.
From 1994 to 2013, I served as the chief officer in charge of an animal welfare organization, leading initiatives and establishing numerous animal welfare centers. My contributions to the veterinary health sector extend to research and development, as evidenced by my authored books and presentations at international conferences and symposiums.
I am proud to be featured in the Limca Book of Records, solidifying my standing as a reputable figure in veterinary healthcare. Beyond my individual achievements, I have mentored several veterinarians and conduct training programs for aspiring veterinary science students. At DCC, I lead a dedicated team with a mission to revolutionize veterinary care, making it more accessible and understandable for both pets and their parents.
